Scripture Union Daily Guide 11 September 2025 Outline
The Master knew His own servants to whom He delivered His goods (Matthew 25:14). It is heart-warming to know that He knows us personally. Closer still is the fact that He knows the ability of each of His servants (Matthew 25:15). Read Psalms 103:14. He knows our hearts and how close or far our thoughts are towards or away from Him. The question is: How much of our knowledge of Him do we practically use in our daily living and the tasks He commits to our hands? See the good examples of the servants who knew their Master as a businessman who values good returns on His investments (Matthew 25:16,17).
Their knowledge of the Master motivated them to work hard to double what He entrusted into their hands. He is a great rewarder of those who diligently seek and serve Him (Matthew 25:20-23; cf. Hebrews 11:6). The unfaithful servant had to tell a long story -excuses Matthew 25:24-25, pure laziness and wickedness (Matthew 25:26)! He is judged by his own words (Matthew 25:27). What do you learn from his end (Matthew 25:28-30)? We should realize that accountability will always be required of us for all that has been entrusted to us.
And So
The spiritual gifts given to us are to be fully utilized in building up the body of Christ. What good is it if you leave your gift unutilized?
